This fall leaf craftivity gives students a creative way to practice multiplication while building a colorful seasonal display for your classroom. Five leaf pages each cover a different multiplication topic, so you can use one page for a quick review or combine them for a full bulletin board. A bonus “Fall Into Math” bulletin board title is included on pages 14-16.
Standards covered:
– 4.NBT.B.5: Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers
What is included:
– Leaf 1: Multiply by tens, hundreds, and thousands (color by largest place value position)
– Leaf 2: Two-digit by one-digit multiplication (color by answer range)
– Leaf 3: Three-digit by one-digit multiplication (color by the multiplier)
– Leaf 4: Four-digit by one-digit multiplication (color by the multiplier)
– Leaf 5: Compare products using greater than, less than, and equal to (color by comparison symbol)
– Answer keys for all five leaves
– “Fall Into Math” bulletin board title pages
Directions:
– Students solve the multiplication problems on each leaf section
– They color each section based on the color code shown at the top of that page
– Students cut out the leaves when finished
Display options:
– Lay the leaves flat on a bulletin board for a quick and easy fall display
– Fold and glue three leaves together for a 3D look that pops off the board
– Fold and glue all six leaf sides together to create a 3D shape that can be hung from the ceiling or displayed on a table
